I used to bike 14 miles to work, along a riparian bike trail with
underpasses for all the dumb roads. Non-stop.

When I first moved to Orange County, all I had was a bicycle. However, I
could ride it around the county and get little programming odd-jobs.

So, over the years, I eventually worked my way up to 2k times my age in
total compensation.

Then I got married, and the new missus ordered me to throw the bike away and
get a car. >sigh<
