Fifty years of propaganda saying that the US has to be 
the-opposite-of-communist.

Tens of millions of US devil worshipers (they call themselves 
"Christians", but they're not).

"I'm all right, Jack."

An almost completely broken educational system.

The mindset that says that for every problem there is a unique and 
complete solution (as in a detective story).

And, on the other side, the failure of US liberalism to acknowledge that 
some leftist positions are loony.
