Is there magic in the --op option? I just tried a simple test. I made a
file, rdoctest.rb, with just this line:
        # label[link:doc/files/rdoctest_rb.html]

Then I ran 
        rdoc rdoctest.html

Rdoc created this hyperlink: 
        <a href="link:doc/files/rdoctest_rb.html">label</a>
