Subject: Converting HTML to XML in Ruby

How are people converting HTML to XML in Ruby?

I'm looking for Ruby only code to do this. Has anyone used Yoshida
Masato's ymHTML (1)?

I'm writing a HTTPCache Ruby gem, and thought it would be useful to add
an option to convert HTML to XML.

Until now I've been converting HTML to XML by calling out to John
Cowan's TagSoup (2), but it's written in Java and hence must be run on
the jvm.
