I've heard quite a few reports of people migrating to it even if they aren't Ruby programmers. The Rails irc channel (#rubyonrails@freenode.net) has consistently had about 40 people in it since it was setup. In contrast it took us a couple of years to do that with the main Ruby channel (#ruby-lang@freenode.net). Chad
