total disagreement on this point.
the primary functionality at this
point is rpa-base itself which is
a direct competitor to the gem
format. and the gem format does
*not* provide everything tht
rpa-base currently provides 
from what i understand.

i don't think that this early
in the game any standardisation
should be done whatsoever.
