I am very interested in this. I installed ruvi last night. My command of
vim is minimal but I did notice a few improvements over my typical
session. I'm sure these are configurable vim options that I am simply
ignorant of, but I liked the way the cursor wraps to the next line, for
example.

I'm not familiar with gvim or whatever the GTK+ interface to vim is, but
a GTK+ interface to ruvi would be great. I use gedit often and have a
few gripes, but I could easily hack away at ruvi's interface to suit my
needs.

Count me in!
