Will that .NET program run on a machine without .NET runtime already 
installed?  Does it load any extra DLLs that aren't normally loaded upon 
boot by a clean install of Windows  ME or Windows 2000?

Add a gets() or sleep() to provide enough pause to measure the memory if 
you're interested.  If this add too much memory overhead, just do a 
simple while() loop (it'll eat cpu while you measure the memory but 
overhead will be minimal).
