Tonight I fooled around with the debugger, and I found that the v[ar] g[lobal] and v[ar] l[ocal] commands work fine with my old version of Ruby that came with my machine (1.6.8), but they don't work with the newer version that I compiled myself: 1.8.1 [powerpc-darwin]. When I try to list variables with the debugger in version 1.8.1, I get the error message '1undefined local variable or method `g' for main:Object'. Anybody have any idea what's wrong? I'm running Mac OS 10.3. Jay On Sun, 18 Jul 2004 23:05:54 +0900, jay wrote > Hello, > > I am confused about a feature of the Ruby debugger.
