I think that 'to keep a person's nervous index finger from pulling the anti-spam trigger' is a better description of the problem - I receive loads of spam and sometimes accidentally throw away the ham as well (usually because it smells like spam). When it comes to e-mail I follow the 'shoot then think' approach. To keep collateral damage small I use non-lethal weapons (i.e. spam is not remove immediately but first is moved to the trash folder). Josef 'Jupp' Schugt
