I installed CDT but hadn't compiled or run any programs since updating to Eclipse 3.0 release. No time like the present, eh? The answer is yes, mostly. Editing, syntax highlighting, running make all worked just fine. I wasn't able to select the resulting executable in the Run panel using the "Browse" button, but when I typed it in manually it ran just fine. To tell the truth, though, I don't do much vanilla C/C++ programming any more. For OS X specific stuff, I use Objective C + Xcode. For teaching I use java + eclipse. For my own use outside the classroom (and when I can sneak it into class examples), it's Ruby of course. --paul
