Well, FOX 1.2 is the stable version of FOX, but FXRuby 1.2 is not
quite stable yet. ;)

So for your purposes, I think the best choice is to install FOX 1.0
and FXRuby 1.0. FXRuby 1.2 is currently an "alpha" release and not
ready for general use.
