There's a bit in Ruby CVS. $RUBY/ext/dl/doc/dl.txt has quite a bit more 
and it's pretty straightforward.

Also, a bunch of examples at http://ttsky.net/ruby/ruby-dl.html that I 
remember consulting when I wrote the short tutorial.
