It's worth noticing that we had an effort to write a ruby VM based on vmgen[1] that, If I understand correctly is the tool by witch Gforth is built. And I am quite sure that there was a presentation from matz in which he talked about some forth vm as a model for rite. But It seem I can't find it anywhere, so feel free to think I'm mad.
