Is OpenSSL::PKey::RSA#verify not enough?

  require "openssl"
  rsa = OpenSSL::PKey::RSA.new(512)
  data = File.read(__FILE__)
  signature = rsa.sign(OpenSSL::Digest::SHA1.new, data)
  p rsa.verify(OpenSSL::Digest::SHA1.new, signature, data)
