I don't disagree at all. In fact, since Ruby has a "sort of" compile-time, it might be possible to add a flag to the interpreter -- a flag which would say, "Scan this for suspicious items, and don't start execution." Sounds like a lot of work to me. I won't be the one to make the RCR. :) And of course, Ruby's highly dynamic nature means that such a tool will always have significant limitations. Hal
