石橋さん、今日は、上手（かみて＠XP-ML）です。
石橋さんのXP-MLでのおすすめに釣られてこちらに参加してます。
ObjectDay2000 にも行きました。

今日は、XPの本家MLにRubyの話が出ていたので、報告します。
開発言語を何にするかという質問に対しての答えです。

If you're still open to options, C++/wxWindows would probably be my
personal
choice, because of my C++/MFC background. I played with wx for a while,
and it's pretty impressive. It's very cross-platform, and it's quite
similar to MFC. Java would be my own next choice, again due to a comfort
level. 
I would love to say Ruby, because the language itself is my favorite. Unfortunately,
support (in English) is weak so far due to its Japanese heritage, and the
tools (especially GUI) don't seem to be there yet.
