% ./miniruby -rtimeout -e 'timeout(1) { nil while true }'


という実験をすると、 pthread 版はきちんと Timeout::Error になりました
が、pthread でないほうはハングしました。

環境は linux 2.4.26 / glibc 2.3.5 です。
