[ruby-dev:25422] wide-getaddrinfo

なかだです。

ext/socket/extconf.rbに--enable-wide-getaddrinfoを指定すると、
コンパイルできなくなります。

$ make CONFIGURE_ARGS='--enable-wide-getaddrinfo'
compiling socket

Fatal: --enable-ipv6 is specified, and your OS seems to support IPv6 feature.
But your getaddrinfo() and getnameinfo() are appeared to be broken.  Sorry,
you cannot compile IPv6 socket classes with broken these functions.
You can try --enable-wide-getaddrinfo.

すでに指定してあるオプションを試せといわれるのはおかしいのでは
ないでしょうか。

以下のように、--(en|dis)able-wide-getaddrinofが指定されていれば
その値を優先、指定されていないときにだけtry_runで判断、というの
が本来意図されていたことではないかと思うのですが。
