Subject: What about 'splay'?

Hi --

With regard to the splat/unarray/values discussion:

The word 'splay' occurs to me, as something that sounds sort of like
splat, and sort of like array, and connotes spreading something out or
unpackaging something (like, "The contents of the drawer were splayed
out on the table").

Anyway, just a thought.
