I think also that perhaps some patches/bugs are posted and the poster
doesn't follow up the replies that are made on the ruby-core list.  

But it would be good if someone were to make an occasional sweep thru
the bug list and close any fixed bugs or reraise any bugs that seem to
have fallen off the radar.  For example, this "lots of warnings" bug may
well have been take care of:

and might not take too long to verify... just need someone to check it.
