make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `miniruby'

On Solaris you have to link against -lsunmath to make this work.  Even then, 
you'll get a warning about an implicit declaration unless you explicitly 
include sunmath.h, which is only included as part of the Sun developer suite, 
not under /usr/include.
