[ruby-core:74258] Ruby Google Summer of Code 2016: MRI ideas?

Hello ruby-core. Thanks for Ruby!

Google once again accepted a Ruby mentoring organization (through Ruby
Together) for Google Summer of Code 2016.

We have put together a list of ideas about prospective MRI projects:

We would love for ruby-core to post other prospective MRI projects. You're
the experts! We would also especially love if any of you could volunteer to
mentor a student.

Also we'd love your feedback on any of the existing ideas. If there are
really bad ideas on the ideas list, please let us know.
