The Numeric class has never had any documentation about general things like:
1. what it is for;
2. how it differs from other numeric classes;
3. how to use it.

The attached patch adds documentation, with code examples. The patch can also be viewed on Github at https://github.com/joecorcoran/ruby/commit/3b92ebb3ac1326e43ee73add74bcdc581f16ab02
