Sorry, I didn't know how to test.

If there aren't any hard links on Win9X, all I can
think of is to compare the same file:

f = 'D:\ruby\bin\irb.bat'
p File.identical?(f, f)    #-> false


I'm not asking questions, just sending feedback as I'm
the last person on the planet using 9X ;))
