Summary: Array::fill causes segfaults after many calls

Initial Comment:
filling in an array, removing most of the items, then refilling, many times causes a segfault in 1.8.3

I've attached an small program that demonstrates the problem. If the program doesn't segfault as-is, trying making the numbers bigger. Cutting the size of the filled array in half significantly prolonged the life of the program on my machine.
