 It's a well known problem. You have 2 possibilities :

  * if your version of bison is < 2 (bison --version) : remove parse.c and
    recompile ruby

  * otherwise : retrieve

      ftp://ftp.ruby-lang.org/pub/ruby/stable-snapshot.tar.gz

    and re-install ruby
