Issue #9890 has been updated by Eric Hodel.


I have not been able to come up with a workaround that allows removal of Date or provides a working Date class.

Before anything is loaded/required, there is a non-functional `Date` class.

irb(main):003:0> Date.instance_methods(false)
=> []
