Oh, right. Also, the value of a pointer to a template function doesn't exist until you cast it to a normal function pointer with a matching signature, and that's not a reinterpret_cast at all. BUT if you cast the resulting function pointer again, it will be a reinterpret_cast. That's a funny one. (I learned that stuff while trying to implement my Ruby extension called GridFlow.)
