Agreed.

That being said, I personally am overcommitted until after RubyConf (two  
weeks from now), so I probably won't contribute much until then.  I'm sure  
this will be the topic of much conversation at the conference itself (and  
hopefully a few hacking sessions to make progress on some of the things  
already on the list).  We already have some things that HAVE to be done.   
We may not have the full pre-1.8.4 list, but we have a definite subset of  
it.
