From: "stomar (Marcus Stollsteimer)" Date: 2013-09-07T16:59:30+09:00 Subject: [ruby-core:57053] [ruby-trunk - Bug #8867] Mailing lists' controller addresses not working Issue #8867 has been updated by stomar (Marcus Stollsteimer). > The website should be updated, though I updated the crucial information on http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/community/mailing-lists/manual-instructions/ However, I do not have the time to do a more thorough rewrite right now (this part of the site is not as concise as I would wish). > blade still reports that it's ctl. I don't understand... :( ---------------------------------------- Bug #8867: Mailing lists' controller addresses not working https://bugs.ruby-lang.org/issues/8867#change-41663 Author: stomar (Marcus Stollsteimer) Status: Open Priority: Normal Assignee: Category: Target version: ruby -v: ruby 2.0.0p247 (2013-06-27 revision 41674) [i686-linux] Backport: 1.9.3: UNKNOWN, 2.0.0: UNKNOWN This probably isn't the right place to report this, but I do not know a better one... The controller addresses for the various mailing lists do not seem to work anymore: ruby-talk-ctl@ruby-lang.org, ruby-core-ctl@ruby-lang.org, ... Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender SMTP error from remote server after RCPT command: host: neon.ruby-lang.org 5.1.1 : Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table That means it's not possible to subscribe/unsubscribe right now. I already count about 450 failed subscribe/unsubscribe requests through the subscription form on www.ruby-lang.org. This started on 2013/08/06. -- http://bugs.ruby-lang.org/
