I don't think the result is nicer than the default inspect method.

In my environment, the example shows as follows:
#<Cat:0x007f29a777b2a8 @name="ginger">
#<Cat:0x007f29a777b2a8 @age=2, @color="red", @name="ginger">

And the example without pretty_print method and inspect alias
shows as follows:
#<Cat:0x007f18e56975a8 @name="ginger">
#<Cat:0x007f18e56975a8 @name="ginger", @age=2, @color="red">

The order of instance variables are changed, though.

It is not clear what the example explains.
