I thought Object#id was deprecated.
If so,  a.id == b.id  is not much longer for not much longer.

a.object_id == b.object_id  involves pressing too many buttons.
I can cook eight microwave meals with that many button presses.

A length problem, IMO.

a.ideql?(b) sounds, to me, better than it looks, but it does what it says.
