I'll give you three great reasons why:

1. It's Ruby in Ruby (mostly).
2. Ruby is better.
3. Read #1 and #2, again.

As Rubyists, if we truly believe that Ruby makes software development more enjoyable and more productive, then it only stands to reason that Rubinius be the future of Ruby.
