Issue #5244 has been updated by Jurij Smakov.


Does it work if you replace ("flushw" : : : "%o7") with just ("flushw")? If it is, then it just has to be protected by #ifdef __GNUC__, i.e. the body of the function should look something like this (untested):

{
    asm
#if defined(__sparcv9) || defined(__sparc_v9__)
# ifdef __GNUC__
    __volatile__ ("flushw" : : : "%o7")
# else
    ("flushw")
# endif /* __GNUC__ */
#else
    ("ta 0x03")
#endif
    ;
}

As long as the asm instructions remain in a separate function, it should still work.
