I keep hearing all this discussion about fragmentation of the community. However, it seems to be all about "because you won't do this". If you really care that much about the community then why not a compromise? I would love to just port all the tests/* over to RubySpec and continue to do so. That way Ruby committers can continue with the tests/* method, and RubySpec gains the benefits of tests against the language. Unfortunately I'm out of a job at the moment and don't have that time to dedicate. However it seems more reasonable than what's turning into a political discussion.
この議論ではよくコミュニティー崩壊の話をよく見掛けますね。でも理由は「そっちはこうしないから!」に見えます。本当にコミュニティーを大事にしたいなら譲歩はどうですか。自分だったらtest/*を全てRubySpecに移植したいです。これでRubyコミッターはtests/*を使い続けて、RubySpecは言語仕様テストの利益を得ることになります。今は失業者なのでそんな時間はありません。しかしこんな方法はこの策略的な議論よりいいだっと思います。
