Subject: Virtual host and port number in CGI

Hi
   I am trying to figure out how to get the hostname and port # that was 
used to invoke a Ruby program that is being run as a CGI (from Apache). 
   Can anyone point me at a simple example or describe the technique? 
This should be a FAQ or at least straightforward, but either it is not 
or I have been stricken brain-dead.
