Issue #4239 has been updated by Zeno Davatz. Dear Yui-san I think you are replacing "old" Ruby with "new" Ruby to fast and with a Top-Down approach. The approach should be bottom up. "New" Ruby should build on "old" Ruby not replace it. That is what I mean with consistency. New Ruby should assimilate to old, not old to new. Build on what is stable. Do not build on what is unstable. Ruby 1.8.6 is stable. Enhance and extend those features. Do not just replace them.
