In additional, I recommend to use us.ircnet.org server for connecting from US.
The charset is ISO-2022-JP.

Also channel #ruby-ja on __freenode__ is available. It's connected to
IRCnet via tunnel-bot.
But main channel is on IRCnet, so please join to IRCnet if you can.

P.S.: I want to use Japanese for communication at ruby-ja, but
sometime we can use English.
