In particular I think it would be useful to reference net-http-persistent and multipart-post in Net::HTTP's documentation. net-http-persistent manages persistent connections including reconnecting and retrying when the server closes the connection. Disclaimer: This is my software. http://seattlerb.rubyforge.org/net-http-persistent/ multipart-post adds multipart/form-data support to Net::HTTP. I do not particularly like the API (I would prefer a method like set_form_data over separate classes) but it will save the users from having to perform an extra google search. https://github.com/nicksieger/multipart-post PS: I think Net::HTTP should support multipart/form-data out of the box. I'm a bit busy right now, though.
