I've verified that strings containing just a single newline (in both dos and unix style) are correctly round-tripping in YAML: caleb@baytree:~/hold/ruby$ install/bin/ruby -ryaml -e ' YAML::ENGINE.yamler="psych" p YAML.load YAML.dump "\n" ' "\n" caleb@baytree:~/hold/ruby$ install/bin/ruby -ryaml -e ' YAML::ENGINE.yamler="psych" p YAML.load YAML.dump "\r\n" ' "\r\n" Whatever the other case(s) were will have to wait til redmine comes back.
