[#28561] Ruby::DL vs Ruby::FFI — Aston <blackapache512-ticket@...>

Ruby.DL and FFI libraries are great for programmers like me who are not internet programmers, but are more interested in scientific and number processing etc.

[ruby-core:29167] [Feature #3067] complex.c : Question: why Complex#~ is disabled? It's in the doc

From: Benoit Daloze <redmine@...>
Date: 2010-03-31 16:25:45 UTC
List: ruby-core #29167
Feature #3067: complex.c : Question: why Complex#~ is disabled? It's in the doc
http://redmine.ruby-lang.org/issues/show/3067

Author: Benoit Daloze
Status: Open, Priority: Normal
Category: ext, Target version: 1.9.2

Hi, this is more of a question than a bug, feature or whatever,
  but I wonder why Complex#~ has been removed ?

I can read in complex.c:
#if 0
    rb_define_method(rb_cComplex, "~", nucomp_conj, 0); /* gcc */
#endif

gcc would have problems with it? why?

Fixnum#~ and Bignum#~ are not commented and work right.

Maybe the method should be added at a higher level, if possible, if it is a compiler issue ?

B.D.
