Subject: [ruby-core:28257] Building MRI with Intel ICC compiler?

Has anybody tried building MRI with Intel's compiler under Linux 
(Debian)?  I'm wondering if it will perform better than a GCC build.
I haven't used ICC in a long time.  I'm hoping that an ICC-built program 
like MRI will link/load against GCC-built libraries.

Any experience/pointers?
