In an effort to begin summarizing key MRI-on-Windows open issues I'm starting this thread in hopes that those interested will respond with details on the key MRI issues they feel need resolution for Windows users.

Ah, this makes more sense =E2=80=93 as in, the more I think about it, the m=
ore
I have a cognitive dissonance. :) On one hand it=E2=80=99s obvious for me t=
hat
'1.8.7' is larger than '1.8' and so Ruby=E2=80=99s Sting#<=3D> works as exp=
ected
for RUBY_VERSION numbers; on the other, I can see now how =E2=80=98larger t=
han
'1.8'=E2=80=99 can be seen as an equivalent to =E2=80=98larger or equal to =
'1.9'=E2=80=99.

Still, you wouldn=E2=80=99t make the question go away with switching from
Strings to Version objects; you=E2=80=99d still have to address whether
1.8.7 > 1.8 is true or not (and now I can=E2=80=99t say for sure which is
PoLS in my book, but I=E2=80=99m still kind of biased towards it being true=
).

=E2=80=94 Shot
--=20
It=E2=80=99s not hard, it=E2=80=99s just asking for a visit by the fuckup f=
airy.
