From: Luis Lavena Date: 2009-12-26T01:36:50+09:00 Subject: [ruby-core:27324] [Bug #2530] Future timestamps in 1.8.7-p248 generate recursive compilation process Bug #2530: Future timestamps in 1.8.7-p248 generate recursive compilation process http://redmine.ruby-lang.org/issues/show/2530 Author: Luis Lavena Status: Open, Priority: Normal Category: build ruby -v: ruby 1.8.6 (2009-08-04 patchlevel 383) [i686-linux] After the announcement of 1.8.7-p248, I've proceeded to download and install it. During extraction, got several warnings about future timestamps, and ignore them (see attached extract.error.log) My local clock is 12pm, 2009-12-25, UTC-3 Ignored the warnings and proceed to configure, which ended normally. Then fired the make process, and it started a cyclical configure process, as seen in make.error.log and make.log A workaround to this issue is touch all the files in the extracted folder, but is a problem for automated process like RVM (Ruby Version Manager) and RubyInstaller own recipes for building Ruby for Windows. Can it be repackaged with proper timestamps? Thank you. ---------------------------------------- http://redmine.ruby-lang.org
