That's strange, as the code in the book is formatted live with the 
latest CVS version of Ruby 1.8, and the exception is definitely being 
raised. Am I using the wrong branch? (I'm trying to update the book for 
the ruby_1_8 branch, which I assumed would be the stable one for the 
next year or so)
