Anyway my own personal suggestions would be Help with the windows one click installer (just kidding--that was tongue in cheek). go through "existing" tickets/feature requests and see if they are still applicable. The only "urgent" priority ticket I can think of would be this one: http://redmine.ruby-lang.org/issues/show/1484 though I'm not sure how involved it would be, you may be able to use git-bisect somehow to figure out which revision introduced the bug [anybody know a good test case for it]. also ask on ruby talk "what would be useful contribution"--I asked something similar previously and got back some useful insight [1] so they might help you out too.
