Paul Brannan has already started down this path with a mini gem called
"mininode" that simply gives access to node.h on 1.9. It wouldn't be hard to
continue that and make one that allows selectable headers according to Ruby
version. Still seems like a lot of work for something that could be done for
us, marked "use at your own risk" / "internal".
