Subject: [ruby-core:23986] possible bug with windows `` they don't set $?

Looks like a bug? [1.8 or 1.9]


mingw:

>> `bad`
>> $?
=> #<Process::Status: pid=5636,exited(0)> # this is wrong it did not exit 0

msvc:
>> `bad`
>> $?
=> nil

So there appear to be two discrepancies here--msvc is *different* than
mingw, and both don't seem to set $? right.
Thoughts?
