I fully plan to use Ruby 1.9.1 as much as possible in my day to day work, but need to support legacy code all over the place, and a userbase for my free software projects that may not be as quick to make the jump as I am. Seeing some organization take care of bug fixes and stabilization of 1.8.6, at least until the majority have moved to 1.9, would be great. This also means that those interested in the latest changes that ruby-core make to 1.8.x can get them if they want, but that those who need to support non-geeks or those that work for non-geeks have an avenue as well. -greg -- Technical Blaag at: http://blog.majesticseacreature.com Non-tech stuff at: http://metametta.blogspot.com "Ruby Best Practices" Book now in O'Reilly Roughcuts: http://rubybestpractices.com
